2009 May - Graduated from Emory University, Goizueta School of Business. Bachelor's in Business Administration - Concentration in Marketing and Communications. Marketing Director for Business School Council. Co-President of Emory Chinese Student Association.

 

2009 July/August - Severe manic episode.  2 separate arrests.

 

2009 September - Released on bond to go to treatment at Ridgeview Hospital in GA

 

  • Living in Tangu halfway house and working at Starbucks & Marketing internship at ResponseMine Interactive

 

2010 August - Granted travel to Texas for more rehabilitation

 

  • Living with my sister, met regularly with a therapist, working at Starbucks as shift supervisor.

2011 October - severe manic episode lasting several months. Three hospitalizations (Green Oaks 2x, Methodist Richardson) and visits to psychiatric emergency rooms (Parkland). 2 separate arrests. 

 

2012 June - Pleaded to 3 years probation 

 

  • Entered into All Special Needs SAFP Treatment Center [9 months] 

  • Salvation Army halfway house [3 months] 

  • Oxford House (sober living)  in Richardson, Texas [2 years] 

  • Employed at IHOP as server and supervisor - Plano, TX [2 years] 

 

2015 June - Completed 3 years probation

 

2015 December - Married to my wonderful wife and moved out of Oxford House

 

2017 April - Shared story of mental health journey to Duke Univeristy Nursing Students

2017 August - Employed at Metrocare Dallas as Peer Support Specialist, assisting others with mental health struggles (2 years)

2018 June - Purchased a home in Mckinney, TX.

 

2019 March - separated from wife. Severe manic episode. Two psychiatric hospitalizations (Millwood Hospital - Arlington, TX) Two arrests.

 

2020 March - Released on bond. One month rehab at Pine Street, one month treatment at MHMR Mens Crisis Residential Unit.

 

  • Moved into Oxford House in Fort Worth. Numerous positions of leadership within the house and chapter.   • Employed at BJs Restaurant as Lead server.

 

2020 August - Began working with Quincy Carter as Director of Marketing & Operations. Responsible for website design, advertising, social media, day-to-day operations, promotional material, video editing, and more. (currently working)  www.quincycarter17.com/jeremiah-lin

 

2021 March - Employed as Peer Support Specialist at JPS Hospital. Assisted adolescents and adults with mental health struggles, leading group and individual sessions. Last 1.5 years (currently working)

2021 June - signed for 4 years probation in Tarrant County (fulfilling all requirements)

 

2022 March - Offer Letter received from Human Impact, a Nonprofit organization in Dallas, TX serving the needs of homeless and unsheltered individuals. Offer is contingent on satisfying requirements of court to close current GA cases and warrants. 

 

2022 June - Admitted & enrolled at University of Texas Arlington Master's in Social Work graduate school. Earned an A (100%) on the first course, Human Behavior and Social Environment. 

 

2022 September - Invited to speak and share recovery story at Big Texas Rally For Recovery
